Our Submission

We sourced a quality, re-usable product that minimised the use of plastic straws, the stainless steel straw was engraved with the Monash logo ensuring a lasting reminder of the Monash brand. Developed a washable Eco-friendly Calico bag that included the Monash University logo to store the straw and a cleaning brush, keeping both items clean and safe from contamination and ensuring they would be reused.

Incorporated Monash’s artwork for the ‘Change of Preference’ campaign and marketing collateral into the design of the DL printed card. It was critical that the straw did not move as it needed to be perfectly positioned under the campaign message. “This is it – the last straw you’ll ever need, and a small step towards a more sustainable world”. DL card (which can be recycled) and the internal straw were placed inside a heat-sealed bag for easy postage and minimal packaging. This also ensured the product remained clean during shipping.

The Result

The campaign complemented and enhanced the client’s marketing campaign and other marketing collateral promoting the “Change Day Expo”, reinforcing Monash University’s Environmental-Sustainability Plan. The campaign contributed to the reduction of plastic straws on campus, was hugely successful and a real talking point amongst students. It created high engagement in Monash University’s social media channels leading up to the expo.

We delivered a full end-to-end solution for our client which matched the client’s brief and minimised their workload. Our logistics expertise also ensured the client’s critical delivery timing was met.
